We always have our customers in mind which is why we’re here to help you understand what Sarasota ethanol free fuel is and the distinction between ethanol fuels.
What’s Ethanol All About?
Ethanol, which is derived from corn, is now found in most gases. The percentage of ethanol in gasoline is indicated with the number E. Such as E10, which means that there is a mix of 90 percent gas and 10 percent ethanol; E15 is 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gas, and E85 is between 51 and 83 percent ethanol, and the rest is gasoline.
The purpose of ethanol fuel is to reduce emissions that are harmful to the environment. Ethanol fuels do reduce some emissions; however, with ethanol fuel, your car can actually run less efficiently. Since gasoline is more combustible, it works more efficiently.
